Title: How to use Netflix outside the US using DNS technique
Post by: ryan on December 13, 2012, 07:39:55 AM
When you connect your PC, SmartPhone or your device like a flat panel TV or an external media box to the internet you only have access to your local internet services. The many US services such as Netflix, Vudu, Hulu, Pandora and many more are only accessible in the US – unless you set up a proxy or a VPN.

Now there's an easier way to access this service without using a Proxy or a VPN especially on devices which does not support a proxy or a vpn connection. That is possible through DNS rerouting.

In this guide we tell you how to do that and how to get access to Netflix from anywhere.

Use Netflix outside the USSmart TVs and internet boxes can access internet services but the selection in Europe and especially some of the smaller markets is not very appealing. However, in the US people have tons of possibilities.

Netflix on Apple TV
One example is Netflix; a pay-per-month service with unlimited access to movies, TV shows and documentaries. In just a few years almost 25 million subscribers have joined Netflix, which also makes Netflix bigger than the largest cable TV providers. With Netflix you can see shows such as Mad Men, South Park, The Office, Lost and many more. Or new Hollywood movies such as Toy Story 3, Salt or The Other Guys. Everything for just 8 dollars per month.

Netflix is only available in the US but with a small DNS rerouting you can access it from anywhere on Smart TVs or Apple TV / Boxee media players.

Guide: How to set up DNS for Netflix accessYou do not need advanced VPN services or proxies. Instead you can use the service Unotelly that helps you reroute your internet connection.

Here is a step-by-step guide to set up the DNS service

With Netflix you can see movies and TV shows/documentaries
If you are looking for instructions on setting up specific devices see unotelly.com (http://www.unotelly.com/quickstart2/). They can help you set up Apple TV, Samsung TVs, Sony TVs, PS3, Xbox360, and Boxee Box.

You can now enjoy a range of movies, TV shows and documentaries for 5+8 dollars per month – anytime you want. You can also try to access other US services such as Pandora (music service) and Hulu (free movies with commercials).

Also notice: If you have a dynamic IP from your internet provider it is often best to set up the DNS numbers in specific devices instead of your router, because every time you are provided with a new dynamic IP and you have the DNS numbers in your router, you need to revisit the Unotelly website for activation.
