VPN Discussion / Which VPN protocol is the most secured protocol?
« on: October 24, 2018, 11:08:33 PM »
Hello everyone,

I'm a VPN user and would love to be more secure on internet. I was using PPTP protocol but recently discover that these protocols can vary with respect to the speed and security.

I can compromise the speed (a bit) but can't security.

I have heard SSTP VPN is a good option.

Any recommendations?

Being a member of the Five Eyes, the Australian government has officially introduced Australia’s Assistance and Access Bill 2018 to the Parliamentary Joint Committee on Intelligence and Security for consideration. This anti-encryption bill is expected to be a global paradigm for leaping over the obstructive internet surveillance. This being said, the bill is expected to agitate the startup community.

The Australian encryption bill seeks access, under the law, to decrypt any encrypted communication which is liable to contain any criminal activity. The major motive behind this encryption bill is to aid law enforcement in putting
the wrong-doers behind the bars. Therefore, Prime Minister Scott Morrison of the Liberal-National Coalition is determined to turn the bill into law by the end of the year.

Off Topic / What is Content Filtering?
« on: July 23, 2018, 04:32:38 AM »
Content filtering, also called web content filtering, refers to the use of software or even hardware-based solutions for screening and excluding content that is deemed intrusive, harmful, or objectionable on web pages, in emails, etc. It’s used by companies to implement an appropriate Internet usage and access policy.

For instance, to filter sites which are unrelated to work or host malware and exploits. Content filtering is also used at homes and schools to prevent children from accessing content that is offensive or questionable, such as hate and pornographic sites.

VPN Discussion / Does VPN really help for Internet Privacy?
« on: June 29, 2018, 08:06:00 AM »
Internet privacy is considered as one of the basic human rights which everyone is entitled to.

However, in the last decade, online surveillance and monitoring policies have been tightened by governments around the world. This has made it even more essential for internet users to ensure protection of their privacy.

There are multiple reasons why users need to protect their Internet privacy. To understand the reasons, it is important to have knowledge about the loopholes from where your information can be stolen and used against your will and without your consent.

These loopholes include browsing history, searching preferences, and all communications and transactions done over the Internet.
