Title: VPN and non VPN users on internet connection

I use a VPN to use bit torrent and I live in a share house. Can other people using the internet with other devices compromise my IP address when I'm downloading? I'm just not sure if I'm really safe.

What do you mean compromise your IP address when you are downloading?
