Title: How to remove privitize VPN completely?

I was using TPB yesterday and saw the privitizevpn advertisement, since it says that it is free I installed it on my machine. I did manage to remove the software from the windows control panel but the default searches in browsers is now different. The URL search bar affected chrome and firefox.

I scanned through the registry to remove anything and everything which says privitize and did manage to remove so. But it is still there in firefox and chrome.

How to remove this completely from the system ?

Just change the default search engine of your chrome browser to your preferred search engine and then delete the search engine privitizevpn added.


1. Open chrome settings by visiting this URL : chrome://chrome/settings/

2. A new tab is opening. On your left you have 3 tabs. History, extensions and Settings. Go to Settings.

3. Look for search category. There you can set your default search machine. Just change it from privitize to Google or what ever you like.
