PD-Proxy VPN / Re: any sever slow connection?
« on: May 24, 2013, 06:11:16 AM »
Are you sure that your main internet connection is really not slowing down. ISPs here in the Philippines will throttle your download speed once you downloaded high amount of data. In my own experience Smart wont really tell how high is high to them. I believe once youve downloaded 1GB then your traffic will go down as low as 10kbps. Aside from that ISPs here are really unreliable it could be very fast today and can be crawling slow tomorow.

Anyways you can confirm if your main internet connection is slow by testing your speed using the instructions here: http://www.pdproxy.com/blog/comparing-vpn-download-speed-using-speedtestnet-41.htm

Are you still having problems?

PD-Proxy VPN / Re: Trouble with google search
« on: May 08, 2013, 11:09:55 AM »
That is caused by users sending spam and using tools like Scrapebox, SeNukex and similliar programs. That is why those tools are not allowed when using our service although some users still uses them ( http://www.pdproxy.com/knowledgebase/what-are-the-limitations-of-a-pd-proxy-vpn-premium-account-34.htm )

PD-Proxy VPN / Re: IP Execption
« on: May 08, 2013, 11:05:44 AM »
You could do this.

1. Ping smtp.gmail.com and imap.gmail.com and get the IP address. Just pick one ip address for smtp... and imap...

2. Open your hosts file located in ( C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts ) that is hidden by default so you might want to temporarily change your View options (Show hidden files and folders).

3. Add the following lines to your hosts file. Where x.x.x.x is the IP address you got from ping.

Code: [Select]
x.x.x.x smtp.gmail.com
x.x.x.x imap.gmail.com

This is done so that each time your mail client tries to resolve smtp and imap.gmail.com it will resolve only to those IPs.

4. The IPs can now be entered in PD-Proxy's exception list.

So is there a way to get all gmail servers ip list?

Yes, use nslookup

Code: [Select]
C:\Users\Hp>nslookup smtp.gmail.com
Server:  google-public-dns-a.google.com
Address:  8.8.8.8

Non-authoritative answer:
Name:    gmail-smtp-msa.l.google.com
Addresses:  2607:f8b0:4003:c01::6d
          173.194.64.108
          173.194.64.109
Aliases:  smtp.gmail.com

why why pdproxy doesn't allow exception by URL instead of IP? Exceptions by programs would be nice too  :)
That is not possible since PD-Proxy works on the IP level, it has no access to URLs or even programs. It just basically tunnels ip packets and depending on the destination(IP Address) of the packet it can decide if it will tunnel the packet or let it pass using your default internet gateway.

or common can't you just open the email ports? I can't believe users will abuse it that much  :-\

Yes, they will abuse it. If spammers know that our smtp ports are open they will abuse it and that could cause service interruption. SMTP ports are already blocked from our servers yet we still receive spam reports every month from our servers.

Aside from the human spammers there are also issues regarding computers that are infected with viruses that automatically sends spam. The owner of the computer wont even know that his computer is sending spam.

PD-Proxy VPN / Re: PDProxy authenticating???
« on: May 03, 2013, 07:44:25 PM »
Just to clear things up, we did not said that the ISP is filtering our IP address and re routing it to a dead domain(We never said that). We only believe that the ISP is blocking packets from PD-Proxy probably dropping them when they detect a specific signature from the packets sent by PD-Proxy.

We said that the problem is on your side since we and other users can login to the vpn servers.

We already told you that we can help you diagnose the problem using teamviewer because that is the only way we can check your problem.

Please post the IPs that is given to you when you connected to LA and UK so we can check the server you are using.

25
The IPs are allocated randomly based on the total load of the servers.

You can try to close and re open pdproxy and see if it will give you that IP address.

26
I made a scaner ports with NMAP and i found this ports
PORT      STATE    SERVICE
80/tcp    filtered http
81/tcp    filtered hosts2-ns
82/tcp    filtered xfer
554/tcp   filtered rtsp
1000/tcp  filtered cadlock
4368/tcp  filtered unknown
4370/tcp  filtered unknown
5150/tcp  filtered unknown
5160/tcp  filtered unknown
5198/tcp  filtered unknown
8000/tcp  filtered http-alt
8001/tcp  filtered unknown
8002/tcp  filtered teradataordbms
8016/tcp  filtered unknown
8200/tcp  filtered unknown
10019/tcp filtered unknown
12088/tcp filtered unknown

Wich of these port can i use

I cannot really tell you which port will work since we do not have access to your ISP, Our servers are already listening on those ports so you just have to try those ports and see which one will work.

27
Only your ISP can open and close those ports.

28
Use a different port.

There are a total of 65,535 UDP ports which you can use. But if you are using this to get free internet access (eg: using your internet connection without credits/load on your account) then using other ports will not work if your ISP already blocked those ports.

PD-Proxy works because your ISP opened a port on their network if they already blocked the port you are using then you need to contact your ISP to open them back again for you. We have no access to your ISPs firewall so we cannot open those ports ourselves.

Does your computer have enough free Memory/RAM when this happens? We will try to replicate your problem to see what causes that error.
