Chromebook Vs. Laptop of same value
« on: September 30, 2020, 12:42:13 PM »
I know discussions like this one probably get old in this subreddit but I was wondering if a laptop around a $300-$500 price range such as the Acer E15 would be a better option than a chromebook such as the Acer Flip C302 or a cheaper Acer that has the flip/tablet ability?

I've done my research and I understand Chromebooks aren't for gaming or video editing and that they have different aspects that cater towards people who don't need 3rd party software. I fall into this category, I don't use laptops for gaming (other than OSRS, hell yeah) and don't really use it other than for school. Would the Acer E15 be a waste of money for me when what I will use my laptop for will be good enough on the Chromebook? I just don't want to get another laptop that is poorly made such as the one I am writing on, the ole HP Envy m6.
